Blackrock Villas forms the final phase of the Eden development in Blackrock, Cork, located on the grounds of the former Ursuline Convent close to Blackrock Village.
Designed by O’Mahony Pike Architects, the development comprises 297 apartments across three buildings ranging from five to eight storeys. The scheme provides a mix of studio, one, two and three-bedroom apartments, alongside resident amenity spaces, a childcare facility and a new public park.
The development forms part of the wider regeneration of the former convent lands, creating a new residential community while retaining and integrating elements of the site’s established landscape and setting.
Laois Scaffolding Hire Ltd. provides specialist scaffolding and access solutions for the construction of the multi-storey residential buildings at Blackrock Villas.
Working closely with the Glenveagh construction team, LSH provides safe and practical access to support masonry, roofing, window installation, external finishes and other construction activities throughout the build.
The varying heights and forms of the three apartment buildings require adaptable access solutions that can be coordinated with the different stages of construction. LSH’s teams manage scaffold installation, adaptation and dismantling as the works progress, helping to maintain safe and efficient access across the development.
Our inspection and safety management procedures also support the ongoing management of scaffolding throughout the project, ensuring access systems remain properly maintained and compliant during each stage of construction.
