Sea Gardens is a major new residential and mixed-use neighbourhood being developed by Ballymore on the former Bray Golf Club lands in Bray, Co. Wicklow.

Set across more than 40 acres close to the Bray coastline and River Dargle, the masterplan is designed to ultimately provide more than 1,200 homes, alongside commercial and community facilities, extensive landscaped areas and public open spaces. The development includes a mix of two-, three- and four-bedroom houses, apartments and duplex homes, creating a varied residential community within the wider Bray area.

The masterplan incorporates significant areas of public realm and green space, including parks, landscaped gardens and pedestrian connections, together with a central Market Square providing a range of retail, community and amenity uses. Ballymore’s vision is to create a new coastal neighbourhood connecting the development with Bray town centre, the seafront and surrounding communities.

The first phases of Sea Gardens have included the delivery of new family homes and apartment accommodation. Ballymore reported that the first phase was nearing completion in 2025, with 230 homes in Phase One B reaching practical completion in November 2025.

Laois Scaffolding Hire Ltd. provided specialist scaffolding and hoist services to support Ballymore’s construction programme at Sea Gardens.

LSH’s involvement extended across the construction of houses, duplexes and apartment buildings, providing the access systems required by site teams as the various elements of the development progressed. A Laois Scaffolding team member specifically highlighted the company’s involvement in both the scaffolding and hoist works at Sea Gardens.

The multi-phase nature of the development required scaffolding solutions to be coordinated across different building types and construction stages. LSH supported the works with safe and practical access arrangements for construction activities, while its hoist services provided essential vertical movement of materials during the build.

The project demonstrates Laois Scaffolding Hire’s experience in delivering coordinated scaffolding and hoist solutions across large-scale residential developments, including mixed developments incorporating houses, duplexes and multi-storey apartment buildings.
