Oscar Traynor Woods is a major residential development on a 17-hectare site at Oscar Traynor Road in Coolock, North Dublin. Delivered through a partnership between Glenveagh and Dublin City Council, the development is providing approximately 850 new homes across a mix of social housing, cost-rental and affordable purchase accommodation.
The development includes a broad mix of houses, duplexes and apartments, together with extensive public open space and community facilities. Plans incorporate parks, play areas, cycle trails, landscaped areas, woodlands, allotments, a community centre and childcare facilities, creating a new residential neighbourhood serving the wider Coolock, Beaumont, Santry and Kilmore areas.
The homes are being delivered to high energy-efficiency standards, with the development incorporating a range of one- to four-bedroom properties across its various phases. Construction commenced in 2023 and the scheme continues to be delivered through a phased programme.
Laois Scaffolding Hire Ltd. provides specialist scaffolding and access solutions across the development, supporting construction activity across the different house, duplex and apartment types. Working alongside the Glenveagh site teams, LSH provides safe and practical access for masonry, roofing, external finishes and other construction activities. Scaffold configurations are adapted to suit the varying building types and construction stages, supporting the rolling programme of works across the wider site.
With construction taking place across multiple phases and building types, efficient scaffold installation, adaptation and dismantling are central to maintaining safe access and supporting the construction programme.
LSH’s scaffold inspection and safety management procedures also help ensure that access systems remain properly managed throughout each stage of construction.
